Ruby with brick rim. Anise, spices, liquorice start, then figs, dates, spices, violets, nuanced and layered with air, bright nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, red fruity, figs, dates, elegant, like last bottle it just keeps on giving for several hours in the glass, ads and ads. This is just a touch better than last bottle, long indeed but just not quite as sexy as the 1959 two weeks back.

Ruby core, brick rim. Some tobacco, figs, dates, elegant violets with more air, morellos and cigars, not quite as open as the 53 besides it, tighter and deeper somehow. Fresh acidity, few tannins left but those there are noticeable, blueberries, figs, dates, tobacco, long finish. Impressive over outright sexy.

Ruby core, broad brick rim. Delicate earthy nose with a touch of violets at first, more tobacco, touch of cedar, figs, dates, truffles, just layers of elegance, this is a wine you can smell for ages. Fresh acidity, hardly tannins left, red fruits, lighter bodied, figs, dates, touch sweet and sour, just wafts you away, superb wine, WOW!
